What is Search Scuba?

Search Scuba easily connects divers to the right dive shop based upon their experience level, desired dive type and location.

  2. Select your dive options and prices
  3. Review and approve your dive shop storefront

When will I get my payout from booked dives?

Payment for the dive is paid directly from the Diver to the Dive Shop on the day of the dive.

 

How much is the booking fee?

Dive Shops on Search Scuba pay a booking fee. We charge a 20% booking fee for fun dives and gear rental and $20 flat fee for courses, private charters, or hotel stays. There is no booking fee for transportation or park fees. This amount is collected from the divers once a booking is made. No cash changes hands between Search Scuba and Dive Shops. This eliminates any transactions fees. 

 

Cancellations

Divers have the ability to cancel a dive and receive a full refund 48 hours prior to their first day of diving. No refund will be given if a cancellation is made less than 48 hours prior to their first day of diving. Dive shops have the ability to cancel a diver 24 hours or more prior to a diver’s first day of diving. 

 

Reservation changes

Divers have the ability to change their reservation 48 hours prior to their first day of diving. Reservations changes are subject to Dive Shop availability. Reservation changes include dive dates, number of divers, gear rentals and transportation request.

 

How to Change the Price of a Product:

  • Click on Your Store Name at the top left of the Search Scuba website, this will lead you to the dashboard of your account. 

  • On the left side click “Shop Offers”, then click “My Products List”. You will see a list of all your products. In order to update the price of a product, click the blue pencil icon on the far right column

  • Click “ok” when the pop up window appears

  • On this page you can change the price, then click save. Now the price is updated on your storefront.

 

How to set up a Special Price: 

  • Click on Your Store Name at the top left of the Search Scuba website, this will lead you to the dashboard of your account. 

  • On the left side click “Shop Offers”, then click “My Products List”. You will see a list of all your products. In order to update the price of a product, click the blue pencil icon on the far right column

  • On this page you can type in a discounted price on the “Special Price” line and then select a start date and an end date in the drop down calendar by clicking on the next two fields. This can be scheduled for a future date range.

  • Click Save and your storefront will be updated

 

How to Update Email: 

  • Click on Your Store Name at the top left of the Search Scuba website, this will lead you to the dashboard of your account.

  • Click on Account Info on the top-right hand side of the screen

  • Click Change Email

  • Type in your new email

  • Type in current password

  • Click save, then you will be redirected to the Dashboard of your Shop and you will receive an email with the subject line “Confirmation: Search Scuba Email Change”

 

How to Update Password:

  • Click on Your Store Name at the top left of the Search Scuba website, this will lead you to the dashboard of your account.

  • Click on Account Info on the top-right hand side of the screen

  • Click Change Password

  • Type in Current Password

  • Type in New Password, make sure it is strong

  • Type in the New Password once more in the next line to confirm

  • Click save, then you will be redirected to a website page to Login with your new password.

  • You will receive an email with the subject line “Search Scuba Password Changed”

 

How to Delete Products:

  • Click on Your Store Name at the top left of the Search Scuba website, this will lead you to the dashboard of your account. 

  • On the left side click “Shop Offers”, then click “My Products List”. You will see a list of all your products. 

  • Click on the square in the far left column of the product line that you want to delete. Now it will be selected with a check mark.

  • Just above the table, click on the drop down that says “Actions” and select “Delete”

  • Click OK and you have complete the product delete process  

 

How to Quickly Edit/Disable/Remove a Dive or Course Option:

  • Click on Your Store Name at the top left of the Search Scuba website, this will lead you to the dashboard of your account. 

  • Now, on the left side click “Shop Offers”, then click “My Products List”. You will see a list of all your products. 

  • At the bottom of the list there is a line that features Your Main Storefront in order to configure your general details. Click on the blue pencil in the far right column, then click OK.

  • On the following page, scroll all the way down until you see a table of your Dive/Course options. In this table you can easily update the Price by filling in a new amount in that column. 

  • Additionally, disable or remove the line by clicking “Select” under the far right “Actions” column. 

 

How to Edit/Remove a Dive or Course Option:

  • Click on Your Store Name at the top left of the Search Scuba website, this will lead you to the dashboard of your account. 

  • On the left side click “Shop Offers”, then click “My Products List”. You will see a list of all your products. 

  • At the bottom of the list there is a line that features Your Main Storefront in order to configure your general details. Click on the blue pencil in the far right column, then click OK.

  • On the following page, scroll all the way down until you see a table of your Dive/Course options. On the right hand side, click the button that says “Edit Products”. 

  • Review your options and simply click on a product title in order to add or remove it from your storefront offerings. Then click “Next”

  • Update pricing if needed, then click “Next”

  • Review all offerings, then click “Submit”

 

How to update Images:

  • Click on Your Store Name at the top left of the Search Scuba website, this will lead you to the dashboard of your account. 

  • On the left side click “Shop Offers”, then click “My Products List”. You will see a list of all your products. 

  • At the bottom of the list there is a line that features Your Main Storefront in order to configure your general details. Click on the blue pencil in the far right column, then click OK.

  • On the following page, scroll all the way down until you see “Product Images”. This is where you can add or delete your images that are visible on your Storefront. 

  • Remember to resize the image to 521 x 376 for best viewability. We recommend using this web tool: http://www.simpleimageresizer.com/upload

  • Additionally, the main photo on your page is called the primary photo and is designated by the word “base” on the thumbnail here. If you want to change the primary photo, click on the photo that you want to make the primary and then in the following window, click the button next to the word Primary Photo, then click the X at the top right to return to the previous page

 

How to Update a Logo: 

  • Click on Your Store Name at the top left of the Search Scuba website, this will lead you to the dashboard of your account. 

  • On the left side click “Listing Information”

  • Scroll down to Company Logo and click the button that says “Choose File” to add a new image. Remember to resize the image to 195 x 195 for best viewability. We recommend using this web tool: http://www.simpleimageresizer.com/upload

 

How to Add or Update Gear Rental:

  • Click on Your Store Name at the top left of the Search Scuba website, this will lead you to the dashboard of your account. 

  • On the left side click “Shop Offers”, then click “My Products List”. You will see a list of all your products. 

  • At the bottom of the list there is a line that features Your Main Storefront in order to configure your general details. Click on the blue pencil in the far right column, then click OK.

  • Scroll down to Gear Rental and update the price here.

 

How to Update Transportation:

  • Click on Your Store Name at the top left of the Search Scuba website, this will lead you to the dashboard of your account. 

  • On the left side click “Shop Offers”, then click “My Products List”. You will see a list of all your products. 

  • At the bottom of the list there is a line that features Your Main Storefront in order to configure your general details. Click on the blue pencil in the far right column, then click OK.

  • Scroll down to Gear Rental and update the information here.

 

How to Update Park Fee Information:

  • Click on Your Store Name at the top left of the Search Scuba website, this will lead you to the dashboard of your account. 

  • On the left side click “Shop Offers”, then click “My Products List”. You will see a list of all your products. 

  • At the bottom of the list there is a line that features Your Main Storefront in order to configure your general details. Click on the blue pencil in the far right column, then click OK.

  • Scroll down to Park Fee and update the price here.

 

How to Update Gear Cleaning, Water Temperature, Transportation Options, and On-site Parking

  • Click on Your Store Name at the top left of the Search Scuba website, this will lead you to the dashboard of your account. 

  • Now, on the left side click “Shop Offers”, then click “My Products List”. You will see a list of all your products. 

  • At the bottom of the list there is a line that features Your Main Storefront in order to configure your general details. Click on the blue pencil in the far right column, then click OK.

  • Scroll down to update any of the details for your business.

How do I delete my account?

If you want to permanently close and delete your account, contact us.

When you delete your account:

We will verify your identity for security purposes before accepting the deletion request. You can’t reactivate, recover any data, or regain access to your account once it’s deleted. Any reservations you currently have as a Dive Shop will automatically be canceled. We will start working on your deletion request after we receive it, but some of your data may remain in our systems if we are legally required, or while we are legally permitted, to retain it. Instead of deleting certain data, we may de-identify or disassociate it, such that it no longer appears associated with you. Some information, such as your reviews and messages you sent to other users, may still be visible to others.
